What is a deposit match worth
Is a 100% deposit match actually free money?
A 100% match on 1,000 dollars looks like 1,000 dollars of free money. It is not free and it is not always money. The rollover is a price, and you pay it in hold.
At 10x on deposit plus bonus, the offer is worth exactly zero at a hold of 5.00%. That is the whole decision. Everything else is a question of what you are allowed to churn it in.
| Rollover allowed in | Hold | Verdict | Net |
|---|---|---|---|
| Moneylines at -110 | 4.55% | clears by +0.45% | +90.91 |
| Player props only | 12.41% | fails by -7.41% | -1,481.20 |
Same headline, same deposit, same rollover multiple: a 1,572.11 difference, decided entirely by which markets the terms let you use. Both holds above are measured off real two-way prices, not assumed.
Books restrict the cheap markets, and they restrict them for exactly this reason. A playthrough confined to parlays is worse still — those run nearer 15% (a stated prior here, not a measurement), and nothing at that hold clears a 10x rollover at any headline.
So the question is never "how big is the bonus". It is "how cheap is the cheapest market they will let me clear it in", and the answer is in the terms, under a heading most people never open.
